Citizen advisory: December 30, 2020

Pursuant to the latest guidance from the Texas Office of Court Administration, effective January 1, 2021, the Deer Park Municipal Court has suspended all dockets until further notice. Customers will be notified of their new court dates via mail, phone or electronic communication (e-mail). Any defendant who does not receive notification from the court should appear as previously scheduled.

The Municipal Court Building, located at 1302 Center Street, will remain open to the public. Recognizing the need to ensure the health and safety of litigants, attorneys, visitors, court staff, judges and other individuals entering the facility, the Deer Park Municipal Court will be adhering to guidance issued by the Office of Court Administration regarding social distancing and other restrictions. Masks/Face coverings must be worn at all times within the Municipal Court Building.

Should you need to speak with the court, please call 281-478-7238 and press “8” to speak with a clerk, or send an email to municipalcourt@deerparktx.org. Municipal Court staff will respond to calls and emails as quickly as possible.

Municipal Court payments can be made online – with a $1.50 fee - at http://www.deerparktx.gov/1060/Online-Payments. Payments by phone may be made with a $2.50 fee by calling 866-202-5009.




Mission Statement


The Municipal Court's primary function is to process all Class C Criminal charges filed by the Police Department, Animal Control, Fire Marshal/Chief and Code Enforcement Officers alleged to have occurred within the territorial limits of the City of Deer Park. These include charges filed under the Texas Transportation Code, Penal Code, Alcoholic Beverage Code, Health and Safety Code, Education Code and the City of Deer Park Code of Ordinances.



Dress Code for Court


All attire shall be appropriate to show respect to the Court. All court participants shall remove hats, caps, or any materials that cover their head when entering the courtroom.  Clothing that would be considered unacceptable includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits. 
  • Low-cut blouses or tops. 
  • Skirts or dresses that are short (less than halfway from knee to top of thigh). 
  • Muscle shirts, shirts with no sleeves, undershirts, clothing with lewd, sexual, offensive,vulgar, racist, sexist, obscene, or sexually suggestive words, slogans, depictions, or pictures, including grotesque creatures. 
  • Clothing that is dirty, torn, or ragged. 
  • Clothing that is too tight, too short, excessively baggy, pant waists worn below the waist.  Hats, caps, or bandanas.
